If a client asks 2 people to do the same job, but one does it in Premiere and the other in Vegas and both deliver the same results, why wouldn't both be considered professional grade? Just because the majority (and even this is subjective, I'm sure in different parts of the world, some tools might be more used than other tools) is using X, doesn't mean others aren't as professional. I think that if the software is capable of achieving the results desired, it can be viewed as professional.
